TimTam Power Manual

WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

The term “massage device” in the warnings refers to a battery-operated (cordless) massage device.

A) Massage area safety

  1. Keep area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
  2. Do not operate massage device in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Massage devices create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
  3. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a massage device. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

B) Personal safety

  1. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a massage device. Do not use a massage device while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating massage devices may result in serious personal injury.
  2. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to massage battery pack, picking up or carrying the device. Carrying massage devices with your finger on the switch or energizing massage devices that have the switch on invites accidents.
  3. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the massage device in unexpected situations.
  4. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
  5. Please review the image below for non-massage areas.

C) Massage device use and care

  1. Do not force the massage device. Use the correct massage device for your application. The correct massage device will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
  2. Do not use the massage device if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any massage device that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
  3. Disconnect the battery pack from the massage device before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing massage devices. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the massage device accidentally.
  4. Store idle massage devices out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the massage device or these instructions to operate the massage device. Massage devices are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
  5. Maintain massage devices. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the massage device’s operation. If damaged, have the massage device repaired before use. Accidents are caused by poorly maintained massage devices.
  6. Use the massage device and accessories in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the massage device for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

D) Battery Use and Care

  1. Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
  2. Use massage devices only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
  3. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
  4. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, seek additional medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

  1. Hold massage device by insulated gripping surfaces at all times
  2. After long massaging period, external metal parts and accessories could be hot.
  3. Remove the battery pack from the device before changing out accessories.
  4. Do not incinerate or burn the battery pack, it may explode.
  5. Do not charge a damaged battery pack.
  6. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
  7. Battery pack and charger will be warm during charging, this is normal.
  8. Always remove the battery pack from the charger immediately after re-charging is completed.
  9. Do not dispose of batteries. Return exhausted batteries to your local collection or recycling point.

The battery pack fitted to this cordless tool is considered to be a consumable item and its ability to accept charge will reduce over time.

We will warranty it against mechanical and electrical defect for a period of one year - this does not cover fair wear and tear.

If the battery is not properly charged before first use, or regularly conditioned, its capacity will diminish. Under these circumstances we will not replace the battery pack even if it is less than one year old.

Note: When need, the battery is shipped in a low charge state. It will take longer to charge the battery initially [about 6 hours and several

subsequent charges may also take a little longer until the battery reaches its optimum performance. For general use, the battery should be charged for 4-5 hours.

  1. To remove the battery pack from the polisher, depress the two side clips on the battery and lift the battery up and off the polisher body.
  2. Do not touch the metal battery terminals.
  3. Lay the battery upside down on a flat surface with the connector stem facing upwards.
  4. The charging unit will push down onto the battery stem one way only. This is to ensure that the positive (+) and negative (-) polarities correspond. Align the ridge on the battery stem with the keyway in the charger unit recess and push the charger unit down over the battery stem. Press firmly on the charger unit to ensure that it makes connection with the terminals at the bottom of the charger recess.
  5. Connect main transformer to the charging unit. Plug the transformer into the main socket and switch on.
  6. The red LED indicator will come on when the battery is inserted showing that power is present and charging has commenced.
  7. Do not charge the battery for more than 6 hours.
  8. After 4-5 hours of charging, disconnect the charging lead from the charging unit and remove the unit from the battery stem.
  9. Switch off and remove the transformer plug from the main. Push the battery into the polisher body until it latches into place.
  10. The polisher is now ready for use.

Note: Do not attempt to recharge a battery immediately after use. In such a case allow the battery to cool for a time before recharging.

WARNING! Ensure that you read, understand, and apply the safety instructions in Section 1.

WARNING! Do not use the polisher with abrasive or rubbing compounds.

WARNING! Excess pressure can cause damage to paintwork and will put the polisher motor under strain. Polishers

  1. Always store the polisher on its side so that the foam pad does not become compressed and/or distorted.
  2. Remove bonnet when not in use to allow foam pad to dry out.
  3. Clean the bonnet regularly by hand washing with soap and water.
  4. DO NOT immerse the foam pad in water. Washing the bonnet is sufficient.
  5. To remove the foam pad, proceed as follows:
  6. Remove the bonnet.
    1. Insert a rod (cross headed screwdriver or similar) into the hole in the side of the pad mounting.
    2. Rotate the pad until the rod contacts the counter-weight.
  7. Undo the centre bolt using a 14mm socket. The centre bolt has a reversed thread, turn it clockwise to undo it and anti-clockwise to tighten it.

Measured vibration emission value: 6.73m/s

Uncertainty: 2.69m/s

These values are suitable for comparison with emission levels of other tools that have been subject to the same test. This tool may cause hand-arm vibration syndrome if its use is inadequately managed.

This is a ‘NO LOAD’ vibration figure

A competent person should carry out a risk assessment following HSE guidelines.

Measurement results can be highly variable, depending on many factors, including the operator’s technique, the condition of the work equipment, the material being processed, and the measurement method.
